As a specialist in the Victorian era and it’s peculiarities I offer my expertise as an historical consultant in the variety of areas for museum and historical sites, theatre, television/film, fiction and non-fiction publications.
Interpretation For Museums and Heritage
As a consultant and interpreter for a number of living history museums and historical sites I provide training geared toward first person costumed interpretation allowing visitors to experience what life was like in the Victorian and Edwardian eras. Using this approach I have also put together exhibitions and performance pieces in traditional galleries and unconventional spaces which highlight sensory experiences and encourage visitor involvement.
Staff and Volunteer Training
An interpreted environment is only as good as the staff or volunteers who are presenting within it. My training courses offer practical teaching of traditional or historical skills as well as heritage communication techniques, Courses cover a range of historical topics and are outlined under Courses and Lectures.
