Mummy Unwrapping
Missus Mooney’s Victorian Mummy Unwrapping invites audiences to step back into an age when science and spectacle walked hand in hand.
What unfolds on stage echoes the curious “unwrappings” that once enthralled Victorian parlours, where fact, folklore, and fascination blurred together in the glow of candlelight.
Whether what lies within the wrappings is truly ancient or merely appears so is part of the evening’s intrigue.
What we can say is that the performance is a respectful reimagining of history’s most macabre entertainments, equal parts education, theatre, and mystery, complete with audience participation.
Be sure to bring along your hankie – you never know when you may need it…
The Mummy Unwrapping is appropriate for ages 14 and up. The performance lasts about 60 minutes. There is also an optional VIP 30-minute Q&A and photo opportunity available for an extra charge, based on a percentage of VIP ticket sales.
Filming of the performance is prohibited unless prior written permission has been given, although photographs are most welcome.
