Ghostly Holiday Stories & More

Ghostly Holiday Stories

Victorians loved a good ghostly tale at Christmas. Dickens wrote dozens and his well known classic ghost story “A Christmas Carol” is still as popular today as it was in 1832.

The tradition of ghost stories was well-rooted in the hearts & minds of Victorians as they gathered around the table or in the parlour cozied up to a fire at the year when all of nature outside had appeared to have died. All Stories helped to pass the time but sensational stories that included Spirits, Ghosts or the Supernatural were a most welcome diversion while hours were spent indoors in the dim of candlelight.

Halfpenny Dreadfuls offers a return to those times when the interactive ghost story took those listening away from their day to day hardships. Our stories are Victorian classics that are sure to delight young and old during the holidays.

This season you may choose from:  A Christmas Carol, The Ghost and the Bone Setter, or Martin’s Close.

Traditional spooky tales most loved and often told around the table at the holidays.
