Haunted History Tours (2019 Edition)

Has this been the longest winter ever? It certainly feels like it…

Spring is finally here and soon our new season of Haunted History Tours will be springing up on Friday evenings in Port Colborne and Bridgeburg (Fort Erie, near the Peace Bridge). Our first tour is Friday, 31 May, in Port Colborne. We have also added a new indoor tour in Bridgeburg – at The Bell Tower Community Arts & Entertainment Complex, designated The Most Haunted Building In The Niagara Region.

Unlike some tours, we relate authentic histories of people and places in the region – the good, the bad and the bizarre! While we may speak about many of the same stories, we continue to research ‘the rest of the story’, while looking into more tales to tell.

We take you on a journey from pre-colonial times, through the War of 1812, past the Prohibition era and into the present day. Along the way, we also take a poke at some common mis-information that has been passing as history for generations.

Did we mention ghosts? Of course there are ghosts/spirits/apparitions! Woven into our stories are hauntings and first hand experience with former residents. Do you believe in spirits? You may change your mind along the way…

While we take our history seriously, we certainly like to balance the sometimes creepy – occasionally gruesome – tales with the lighter side of life…no point taking life too seriously, history has proven time and again – you’ll never get out alive!
